THE SBT APPROACH
SBT is personalized for each person, focusing on their strengths and challenges. It uses positive reinforcement to encourage progress and adapts as needed. The treatment also emphasizes assent-based care, meaning individuals are involved in decisions about their treatment and understand what is happening.
Rooted in Understanding
Our Philosophy
At MASC, we embrace an assent-based model across all departments. This means that every MASC employee is trained in this approach, and all behavior intervention plans are aligned with our core philosophies.
The steps we take to ensure success:
- Bi-weekly consultative meetings for all clinicians to brainstorm and troubleshoot cases
- A team approach to every case, with two BCBAs assigned to each case
- Consultation with FTF as needed for additional support on specific cases
